Legal-Lens-500 is an 8 billion parameter model, developed by Akhil Reddy & Ben Gideon for ImpactHacks 2026, specifically engineered to make legal documents understandable for non-experts. Built upon the meta-llama-3.1-8b-instruct base model, it addresses the "Justice Gap" by translating complex legalese into plain English, aiming for a 6th-grade reading level.
