NIA_V8, developed by ICONEDOR, is a 4 billion parameter conversational AI model (Naabiga IA) specifically engineered for the Burkina Faso context. It stands out for its bilingual proficiency in French and Mooré, enabling natural and extended dialogues in both languages. A key differentiator is its optimization for on-device, offline operation, with GGUF files under 3GB, making it suitable for mobile phones.

While strong in conversation and memory, NIA_V8 has limitations in multi-step arithmetic problems and approximations in Mooré-to-French idiomatic translations due to corpus constraints. Like other models of its size, it may occasionally err on precise facts or dates and does not perform online searches.
