LLMWriter-8B is an 8 billion parameter model developed by aldenirsrv, fine-tuned from the Llama 3.1 8B base model. It leverages LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) with the Unsloth framework and Hugging Face TRL to specialize in improving writing quality and instruction following. The model was trained on a curated instruction-following dataset comprising over 10,000 examples, focusing on diverse writing tasks.

Training Details

The model underwent 3 epochs of training, achieving a significant reduction in loss from 1.2151 to 0.2187. This fine-tuning process involved training 1.03% of the total parameters (83,886,080 trainable parameters) and completed in approximately 1 hour and 41 minutes. While not evaluated on standardized benchmark suites, the training showed stable convergence.
